The renovation work consisted of cleaning and overhaul, including repairs to the bellows and the revision of the electrical system with the installation of the Solid State Multi-system and Multilevel Capture system.

Bishop's of Ipswich had previously remodeled the Choir organ into a Positive and it was our work to restore the enclosed choir organ, provide a more substantial flute chorus and reinstate the Orchestral Oboe. We also revised the great Tromba 8ft. and Tromba 4ft. to be Trumpets with bright tone. The 8ft. stop was extended down to 16ft. to provide an 'everyday' pedal Trombone 16ft., the Opheicleide being of the 'heavy-duty' variety.

For when the Harrison Opheicleide 16ft. and its 32ft. Bombardon extension are blazing, the Trombone is also available on the Great.

As part of the work we also placed the console on a new podium and installed it into the fine console case which Bishop's had found for the Church from Sherbourne Abbey- an operation requiring more than a sardine packer, for the Wisbech console was somewhat larger than its predecessor.
