The Organ was commissioned by the Oundle International Festival, director James Parsons, and was partly financed by the Douglas May bequest. It is situated at the West end of the Roman Catholic Church with the manual divisions entirely in a Chair case over- hanging the gallery.

Central on the gallery is the console with space around for organ students; in the corners of the gallery stand the pedal organ cases which contain the pedal stop - the Sub Bass 16ft simply called "Bass"! The cases are of Chestnut with keys in Olive wood and Cocobolo.

The organ features a "suspended"  mechanical action throughout and has a tremulant to the whole instrument.

The opening recital was given by James Parsons as part of the tenth Oundle International Festival. Many further recitals have been given by International Artists as part of the annual Oundle Festival week.
